ABOUT US

Kalahari coffee is about “real”: authentic aromas, natural packaging, and an experience for people who simply want a good cup of coffee.
We really do have exceptional coffee.

Like the Kalahari with its boundless beauty and authenticity,
quality and flavour cannot be faked.
It is as real as life can offer.

Bush Baby Medium Roast

This is one great coffee and it gets our applause for being an organically grown bean, certified at origin.

Cocoa powder and almond aromas dominate in this soft, sweet cup.
It is a balanced coffee and one of our best sellers due to the rich full, flavour.

Feel free to try blending it with Meerkat which, though not an organically certified bean, grows freely and easily and therefore is cultivated without much aid of pesticides or fertilisers.

Gecko Medium-Dark Roast

Dark chocolaty aroma with spicy notes.
Mild acidity with a full creamy body.
Mild fruited, sweet flavours with a lingering chocolate aftertaste.

Need I say more?

Finally a decaf coffee that offers everything that a normal cup of coffee would, without leaving you sensitised.

Caffeine removal with CO2 extraction uses no harsh chemicals and is kind to your body.

We also like to use this on our coffee bark to allow you that one extra piece.

Meerkat Medium-Dark Roast

This is a great East African coffee.

It has a very fruity aroma due to high altitude growing, and if you close your eyes you might pick up a lemony flavour.

This gives it a mild citric acidity.

It is a popular crisp coffee with a lot of flavour for a stand alone coffee.

Enjoy the earthy aftertaste.

For the brave, add some Kalahari Springbok to this bean to enjoy a homemade variation.

Ostrich Medium Roast

This is a sweet cup with mild malic acidity typically associated with red apple flavours.

Try to find the aroma of toast and enjoy the chocolate aftertaste.

The coffee is well balanced and would do well with any one of our spice infusions.

Why not kick off with Autumn Breeze or First Rain?

Lion Dark Roast

Lion is a mildly acidic Central American coffee.

Look for the dark chocolate and walnuts that roar in your veins.
It has a good, fullness in the mouth that doesn’t leave an aftertaste.

As a dark roasted bean you can try adding one of our spice infusions: especcially First Rain, Mannah and Scorpion would lift out the sweetness of this bean.

Play around by adding a little bit of Kalahari Meerkat.

Springbok Medium-Dark Roast

Our beloved Kalahari Springbok is a timeless classic.

This is a must-have on your shelf as a stand alone coffee.

This fruity bean tantalises with a lovely sweetness similar to red apples and dried fruit, and leaves you with a chocolate aftertaste, making you reach for more.

It is full on the mouth and not too light.

Best paired with Dung Beetle, Red Ants or Bee Sting off our shelf, to bring out the spicy notes.

Oryx Medium Roast

Africa meets Central America here, and the marriage is bliss.

The African acidity is softened with sweetness and the result is a full, satisfying body.

Toasted almonds, cocoa and dried fruit is what you should be looking for.

Sawwelyf

Sawwelyf is the baby in the Kalahari. It was going to be simple and uncomplicated. And yes, it is. It is simply devine!

Caramel and toasty notes with a hint of lemongrass. Find deeper some cherry and chocolate in the aftertaste. Africa meets Africa in this local coffee.

Buffalo Espresso

We hope you enjoy our Kalahari Buffalo:
Assertive as only a Buffalo can be.

It is a bold blend with good crema, that should leave you smiling and we use only arabica.

It is a balanced cup that would also please as a cappuccino.

Rhino

Savannah Blend is like the Rhino: larger than life.

We felt that the Kalahari range needed to honour these animals who are struggling to survive. Gentle Giant has a mild body with floral and earthy undertones typical of Ethiopia beans, but orange, lemon and mandarin tones balance Africa in this blend.

Other than many coffees, this cup can be dressed up for extra body without turning bitter.
